Sun gets warm when it becomes spring. Petals start to bloom. Rainbows wake up after their lie-in. In spring we come out to play. Nights get shorter, the days get longer. Games to be played in the garden.
I love the line about the rainbows waking up after their lie-in, Elliot. Did you know you were using a kind of metaphor called personification? Charles Dickens used to use personification a lot in his stories. I think it brings your poem to life. April certainly is a good time for spotting rainbows. There was brilliant one over my house yesterday.

I really enjoyed reading your poem Elliot. I love the longer days in Spring and Summer!
